FAQs
Is this a wedding?
Nope. There won’t be a ceremony and we won’t be wearing our wedding outfits (feel free to wear white). We just want to get together and have fun with everyone!
Speaking of attire, what should I wear?
Cocktail attire, or whatever makes you feel fancy. We’ll be in a botanical garden so removable layers are a good idea.
Do you have any hotel room blocks?
Lots of people mentioned they’d prefer an Airbnb with friends/family so we decided against any hotel room blocks. If you have any trouble finding space, let us know.
Are kids welcome?
Yes! Since it’s Otis’ first birthday (not planned…), he’ll be there for the first few hours - at least until we all sing him Happy Birthday. If you’d rather leave your kids with a sitter, we can share some recommendations.
What type of food will be served at the party?
We’ll have a few dinner stations with plenty of gluten-free and veggie options. If you have any specific food restrictions or allergies, let us know in your RSVP.
But it’s Rosh Hashanah!
We plan to serve apples & honey and challah to begin a sweet new year. If anyone wants to add anything, let us know!
Do you have a registry?
Not really. Many of you sent gifts when we got married and/or Otis was born, but if you really feel like you missed out, here’s the link to our original registry with some kid stuff added. Lots of you are traveling to RI and we consider that a gift.
Will the party be indoors or outdoors?
The party setup is all indoors, but there’s plenty of outdoor space around the botanical garden where you can roam.
Is this a whole weekend thing?
The main event is Friday night, but we’ll have a beach day on Saturday (with a backup plan if the weather isn’t great). Other than that, we have some suggestions for things to do while you’re here!
